About Us

The Joe Phipps foundation was set up in August 2024 following the tragic death of joe Phipps aged 23 who took his own life on Monday 18th march 2024 due to suffering with his mental health for many years.

In Joe’s memory we have set up a fundraising organisation to raise awareness for mental health and suicide prevention. It comes as no shock to anyone that mental health is still very much a taboo subject, especially in men… This is something that needs to change.

Our non-profit organisation has many goals that we would like to achieve over the next few years. Our main goal is to raise awareness about the severity of mental ill health and break the stigma around suicide. We aim to provide a safe space to talk and a kind listening ear to those in need.
Donations and any funds raised from our events go towards us being able to provide support and training for us to offer potentially life saving treatment.
One of our core beliefs is that having a strong and supportive network can build a suicide free community, this is why our trustees are undergoing specialist counselling training so that we can give those in our community the support they so desperately need.
